Job Summary
The Senior Product Manager – Tactical Solutions is responsible for the management and success of a suite of DOD-focused tactical CDS products. The Product Manager is responsible for bringing to market new product and solutions.  This role will engage with multiple teams to create, manage, and drive a go-to-market strategy, identifying challenges, requirements, and resources required. This person will also have the capacity and knowledge to coordinate development programs and create demonstrations and reference designs that showcase the value of our novel solutions. This person will also be able to help define the Customer Success Plan for demonstrations, POC and installation templates.

The ideal candidate will bring prior experience managing tactical DOD-focused cybersecurity products for deployment on ground, fixed and rotary wing aircraft and/or man-portable environments.  This Product Manager will be the thought leader for expanding a line of tactical cross domain solutions in multiple environments.  A primary responsibility is identifying programs with acquisition plans and supporting RFI/RFP responses while shaping the product strategy to respond to these opportunities.

The Product Manager will first be responsible for monetizing the market opportunity and define the ROI. They will be responsible for the product strategy, road map and will manage the development life cycle from inception to launch and provide on-going Subject Matter Expertise support for sales and marketing initiatives. This position requires a strong customer orientation and the ability to think through product scenarios and prioritize objectives from multiple user personas.

The Product Manager will communicate product release schedules with a focus on monetizing new release functions, value and market specific differentiation in a constantly evolving environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Validate requirements and define new or modified solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Research, design, plan, develop and/or evaluate advanced network technologies by translating customer requirements or strategic business objectives into final product design.
  • Draft user stories for new product features.
  • Perform market research and competitive analysis for core product features.
  • Manage certification efforts related to NCDSMO RTB requirements and the LBSA process.
  • Manage product growth & initiate plans to optimize revenue.
  • Execute go-to-market strategies and pricing mechanisms to drive business growth.
  • Facilitate development metrics and manage budget.
  • Plan & implement strategies to counter competitive products in the market.
  • Proactively work with Sales, Marketing and Engineering stakeholders to effectively communicate development priorities and release schedules.
  • Prioritize product and platform enhancements based on business objectives and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain and communicate product roadmap.
  • Document and distribute updates to product functionality.
  • Manage the prioritization and resolution of customer escalation issues.
  • Operate cross-functionally to represent the voice of the customer and collaborate with sales to deliver the optimal system for end user needs.
  • Actively advocate in market, with sales and in-field, the value of the product solution.
Qualifications
  • Education
    • B.S. degree in a technical discipline preferred, advanced degrees a plus.
  • Experience
    • 15+ years in technical product development and 5+ years specific to hardware and software Product Management experience.
    • Experience having worked as a Product Owner and Product Manager in an Agile environment and having delivered product releases on a cadence.
    • Entrepreneurial spirit and product development experience.
    • Prior experience in rolling out tactical and security products for various environments preferred.
  • Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies
    • Current experience supporting the creation of marketing collateral including sales training materials, launch materials, customer presentations.
    • Proven ability to present to senior levels within customer organization and industry analysts.
    • Good grasp of technology stacks using Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and TPM based solutions.
    • Collaborative problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data and industry trends.
    • Strong visual design and user experience sensibilities.
    • Experience with multiple full project lifecycles, from concept to delivery.
    • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent organization skills.
    • Experience managing vendors.
    • Strong background in tactical solutions including experience with large program acquisitions.
    • Knowledge of environmental standards applicable to tactical environments.
    • Very strong presentation, communication (oral and written), interpersonal and organizational skills a must.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing several projects at once.
  • Additional Competencies/Requirements
    • Candidates must be located in Eastern or Central US time zones.
    • Candidates must be willing to travel as necessary.
    • Candidates must be willing and able to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
