Job Summary:
Owl is seeking a Summer Marketing Intern to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Owl Marketing team. The ideal candidate is an eager, continuous learner with an aptitude for problem solving and a keen eye for detail. Reporting to the Marketing Operations Manager, this role will get hands-on experience, support, and education across a range of marketing functions and be involved in strategy, planning, and execution phases of various marketing programs. The four areas of focus will be on social media (primarily LinkedIn & X), email, event coordination, operations, and reporting, as well as exposure to Content and Product Marketing.
(Candidates must be able to commute to Owl's Columbia, MD office 2-3 days per week.)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Social Media (LinkedIn & X)
- Create social media content based on a calendar of themes and messaging.
- Engage with followers by commenting, reacting to, and sharing relevant posts and content.
- Monitor social media metrics and prepare regular reports and highlights.
- Email Marketing (HubSpot)
- Assist in drafting, scheduling, and sending marketing emails based on prepared marketing calendar of events & promotions.
- Monitor email metrics and prepare monthly reports.
- Event Coordination
- Support planning & logistics for trade shows and conferences.
- Packing, tracking, & maintaining inventory of marketing assets & equipment.
- Shipping and receiving of materials.
- Operations & Reporting
- Segment and build static & dynamic contact lists using profile and persona criteria.
- Assist with the build out of reports and dashboards.
- Other Content & Product Marketing activities as appropriate/time allows.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Obsessive attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to self-motivate, multi-task, prioritize, and adapt and thrive in a dynamic team environment.
- Attentiveness and punctuality to all required meetings & calls.
- Strong research, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Graphic design or content writing skills a big plus.
